About Our Logo
Our logo features three abstract, interconnected figures—each unique in shape and color—symbolizing the diversity of the American Ismaili college student body. With students representing a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences across more than 400 campuses nationwide, this design reflects our beautifully pluralistic community.
The intertwining figures represent not just connection, but the deep sense of belonging that defines ISN’s purpose: to bring students together in shared support, friendship, and community. The colors and curves speak to the values of inclusion and compassion—ensuring that every student is seen, heard, and welcomed.
Though ISN was formally launched in the early 2010s, the story begins much earlier—with the pioneering students who helped start the U.S. Jamat in the 1960s, in pursuit of education and a better future. That legacy lives on in today’s students, who continue to lead with purpose and vision.
The “S” at the heart of the logo not only represents students, but also symbolizes how they lead and shape our Jamat’s future. While our original logo cleverly spelled “ISN” through enclosed design elements, this updated version carries that essence forward—using the figures themselves to form the outline of “ISN” in a fresh, modern way.
At its core, ISN is a network powered by students—for students. This new logo was created with input from college students, ISN campus and city reps, and young leaders from across the country—each bringing their voice into the creative process.
The vibrant and playful nature of the design, represented by the fluid shapes and bold colors, is meant to signify the welcoming, fun, and exciting vibe that we hope for ISN events and initiatives to have. Whether through national initiatives or campus events, we’re building spaces that are meaningful, inclusive, and rooted in the energy and leadership of the students we serve.
